Terms of Use

Last updated August 17, 2026

These terms govern your use of Vocabit (the app publisher, "we" or "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

The service

Vocabit lets you translate words and phrases, saves them automatically as flashcards, and schedules them for spaced-repetition review. Translations are generated by an AI model and, while we aim for accuracy, they may occasionally be incomplete or wrong — Vocabit is a learning aid, not an authoritative reference or professional translation service. Don't rely on it for legal, medical, or other high-stakes translation.

Accounts

You need an account (email address) to use Vocabit. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account; see the Privacy Policy for what that deletes.

Plans and subscriptions

Vocabit offers a free plan with a limited number of translations per day, and paid Basic and Pro plans with higher daily limits. Reviewing your saved words is always free and unlimited on every plan.

Subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using the account you purchased through. They renew automatically at the price shown at purchase until cancelled. Cancel anytime through your App Store or Play Store account settings — not within Vocabit itself, since Vocabit does not process payment directly. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.

We may change plan pricing or daily limits going forward; changes won't apply retroactively to a billing period you've already paid for.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the words and phrases you submit. You grant us the right to process them (including sending them to our AI provider) in order to generate and cache translations, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Vocabit is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated translations.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Vocabit after a change means you accept the updated terms.
